Charles Cathedral

“The Charles Cathedral” situated in Paris, France. Basically we can see that the style used in this Cathedral was Gothic. This style essentially bloomed through the Western Europe throughout the middle ages. The Gothic style began in France, then as the time went by it started to become more well-know, because of the brilliant cathedrals that were manufactured base on this style. I can say that one of the most important aspect of this cathedrals were it gratifying structure, which gave the feeling of tallness altitudes that cough devotee’s eyes to look upward towards heaven. In order to accomplish such effect, the architectures had to come up with a ridged tomb, kind of roof which was hold by sharp arches. This arch were twisted with thin marbles ribs which extent from high column. However most of the carry was offered by arm that looks like big smiles called the flying buttresses. They also bend against the exterior walls of the Cathedral. Still ridged tomb and flying buttresses compact a huge quantity of hard wall space which was required for the holding. As a result, these Gothic constructions have walls load up with huge and clear colored stained glass windows that showed religious prospects. Another purposed of these windows was to allow more light inside the cathedral and too illuminate the purplish shine. This effect would impact the devotee faith. Yet the outside of the wall were decorated with statues and biblical figures. Some of them were if full size and three dimensional. For instance Gargoyle makes a good example of this figure. They architectural propose was to drain water from roof of the church, the flat back with the channel to catch the rainwater and with and opened mouth to carry the rain water from the wall; it was artistically and beautiful. Still Christianity gave it its religious meaning. For the Gargoyle propose was to scare away the evil spirits or ghost.

When Roman Empire end a huge hole was left on western society. Their culture, belief, government, everything was seemed to be lost. Yet as time went by western society had to face the middle ages mostly know as the “Dark Ages”. During this time period huge amount of land was left to be ruled by kings. This king or land Lords had to provide strong governments measures in order to mating peace and security under a feudal system. They had to distribute the land in to the nobles which were the high class vassals. These vassals also had the Knight who had also small portions of the land and were used to guard the land. Finally there were the peasants which were the people who actually work the land. This people could only fed on what they could cultivar. Church at this time had a huge power over the king and everyone else. Still some peasant started to form separate society from the knight, basically they set around the rivers to make easy the trade. Yet the peasant did not stop negotiating with each other and even the knights itself. Therefore this outside society started grow and grow. They had people that mastered some arts. They even got to the point from where they talk to the church and negotiate with them. The peasant told the church that they were going to pay them in order for the church to teach them. Right after the church started to open what was calling the “Universitas”. There they offered a variety of degrees. Degrees like Arts and Science. People started to learn more and more. Their cultured spans in a big ways, because the churches got this book translated to the Latin which they receive from the Arab people. Then the people in the Middle Ages started to learn more of the ancestor the Romans. They learn the Arts, Architecture and other things. Therefore they went in to the Romanesque stile, which basically was to bring back the Roman style of architecture. From there they started to improve their architectural styles and went to the Gothic Style which meant to be “Barbarous or mean”. This building did not follow the Greece and Roman models. But basically it was an introduction of a style which only reviewed the medieval period.

Meca

The sanctuary Mecca, Saudi Arabia, this is the central focus of the Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca. Devout pilgrims circle the draped, black stone (ka’aba), seen in the upper center of the crowd-upon which, it is believed, one can see the footprints of Abraham. To the left and front of the Ka’aba is the tomb of Ishmael, from whom the Muslim traces their decent. According to the Saudi Hajj ministry, each year about two million Muslim pilgrims from around the world arrive at Mecca to perform Al-Hajj or Bilgirame. However one fundamental principle of the Muslim faith is “Five Pillar of Islam”. They are the five obligations present in every Muslim. The first is Shahadah meaning “the recitation of the Muslim act of faith that there is one God and that Muhammad is God’s messenger. The second is Salat which is the “obligation to pray five times a day in a direction that point to the Ka’aba in Mecca”. Soon there was added the obligation to participate in Friday prayers as a community and hear sermons. The third is the Zakat which is to “donate a portion of the surplus of one’s wealth to charity”. The fourth is Sawm which is “to fast during the holy month of Ramadan; a total abstinence of all food and drink from sunrise to sunset”. Finally the fifth was the Hajj which was to” make a pilgrimage to Mecca at least one in a life time. The ritual that Muslim performed at the Ka’aba, were The Hajj, Cleaning of the Ka’aba and Qibla. Basically the Hajj is a revelation of the Muslim people, and how their surrendered to God Allah. After that there is the Cleaning which is a ceremony that is performed twice in a year. The first is on the third day, before Ramadan month. Second in before the start of the annual pilgrimage. There Member of the tribe, diplomats and governor perform the cleaning of the structure. Finally the last ceremony is the Qibla; there they face to the Qibla and start worshiping and praying.

The Chi Rho

the Chi Rho symbolizes the Christian religion. Even though that the Chi Rho was no the official cross; it kind of relay on the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The Chi Rho basically is composed with the two Greek letters “X”= (Chi) and “P”= (Rho) meaning Christos. The monogram also showed another two Greek letter “A” meaning Alpha and the lower case letter “w” meaning the Omega. Finally we can see the symbolism in which Jesus is referring himself as the “Alpha and the Omega, the First and Last, Beginning and the End. The Christian philosophical belief was mostly acculturated from the Judaism. Similar to the Jewish the Christian have the same Commandments. However the Christian philosophical belief began with Jesus Christ. He was a Jew born during the reign of Roman Empire Augustus. Jesus belief is known for his theological reflection about the meaning of life and the significance of his deeds. In the Christian belief Jesus Christ is understood in the light of the Jewish prophetical traditions. He also preached about the coming of Gods kingdom, which would be a reign of justice and mercy and that Israel enemies would be overcome. However until that kingdom arrived, Jesus insisted on a life of repentance and an abandonment of early concerns; love of God and neighbors. Besides a compassion for the poor, downcast, and marginalized was a set of his life examples. Still his identification with the powerless antagonized his enemies. Most of his teachings are found in his parables and in the moral code. Finally, we can see that the Christian philosophy is base on this noble idealism of do good charities no matter what. He also believes that we should love our enemies like we love our friends. That if someone hit us in the face, we should turn our head. By this he is saying is that we have to forget the bad things that other people do to us. A big example of this is when he was crucified he was told his father G-d to forgive those who are screaming for him to be crucified. Another of his main beliefs was the ideal of equality. We can see this when he was baptizing by one of his younger cousin and when he cleans his disciples foots. Even though he was the chosen one or the messiahs, he was showing that we are all equality. Yet the Christians change the Idea of heaven and Hell from the Jews. For the Christian the idea of hell was more of a place, where people would go after they die in order to pay for their sins and they will be there for eternity.

Salomom's Temple

the Salomon’s Temple was the first of its kind and it build around the nine hundred and sixty B.C.E. by the king Salomon. The Salomon’s temple holds the Arc of the Covenant inside. This Arc basically contains inside the rock with the first ten commandments of the Judaism, which were brought down from a mount of Sinai by Moses. Therefore we can say that this Temple belongs to the Jewish religion. Most of their religion is stand on their philosophical beliefs which are base on the Ten Commandments. These Commandments are the following: Number one is to Belief in G-d, meaning that “there is only one G-d and accepting that he is your G-d”. The second one is Prohibition of Improper Worship which means that “you shall not have other G-ds”. Number three is Prohibitions of Oath which means that “you shall not take the name of G-d in vain”. Number Four is Observance of Sacred Times which means to remember the “Sabbath day”. Number Five is Respect for the Parents and teachers which means to “honor them”. Number six is the Prohibition of Physically Harming a Person which means that “you shall not murder”. Number seven is the Prohibition of Sexual Immorality which means that “you shall not commit adultery”. Number eight is Prohibitions of Theft which means that “you shall not steal”. Number Nine is Prohibition of Harming a person through speech meaning that “you shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. Finally number ten was Prohibition of Coveting which means that “you shall not covet your neighbor’s house.

Parthenon

the Parthenon and was made by the Greeks in a dedication to the goddess Athena, whom the citizens of Athens saw as their guardian. Besides the Parthenon means virgin that is the goddess Athena.

The Parthenon was built between the four hundred and forty seven and four hundred and thirty eight B.C.E. it sculptural decoration was finish around the fourth hundred and thirty two B.C.E Even larger that the temple of Zeus at Olympia, the building combine the Doric order of its columns, Seventeen in one side and eight on the ends with some ionic features. It also had continuous running frieze inside the outer colonnade, at the top of the temple wall and inner colonnades. The design incorporates some refinements intended to prevent any sense of monotony of heaviness and gives the building and air of richness and grace. Like earlier Doric column, those of the Parthenon are thickest at the point one third from the base and then the top, a device called entasis. In addition, all the columns tilt slightly toward each other. The columns also at the corner are thicker and closer together than the others, and the entablature leans outward. The seemingly flat floor is not flat at all but convex.

The religious meaning that the Parthenon had for the Greek been acculturated from the Sumerians and Egyptians. It was use to work ship the God or Goddess. They were dedicated to a specific god or goddess. Athena was the main temple. The Parthenon was facing to the east were the sun came out. For the Greek sun represent life. As the sun rise up a priest will open the doors for the sun to come inside the Parthenon and illuminated the statue of the God or Goddess reflecting on the town. Inside the temple everything was magical. Gates by some mechanism will open by itself in order to make people think that the God or Goddess opened. Also magnets were used t move gold over the ceiling.

Home View of Morality in the Iliad

The Home View of morality in the Iliad starts by the anger of Achilles and its consequence. Its message is direct one: we must be prepared to answer for the results of our own actions and realize that when we act wrongly, we will cause suffering both for ourselves and, perhaps more important, for those we love. Although the setting of the Iliad is heroic, even mystical, the theme of human is found universal.

Hamlet

There are many films in which we as spectators can appreciate how the author expresses an Ideal. This ideal can sometimes involve vengeance, love, religion and madness. Besides we can observe how the spectacle and the setting affect the plot and the characters in the film. For instance the film called Hamlets is a good example of how does the author express certain ideal. In the film we can observe ideals like vengeance, love, religion and madness. A mix of all this feeling is what makes Hamlets an interesting film.

To start with we can see how the author expresses the ideal of vengeance in the film Hamlets and how does it affect the setting. In addition we see how the ideal of vengeances repeats over and over. First we have hamlet wanting to revenge his father’s death. Then leather wanting also to revenge his father’s death. Therefore we realize how these two characters are both consumed in hate and madness. As a result they begin in a certain way to destroy everything in their path. Also base on the ideal of vengeance they end up destroying their life and the life of their loves ones. With hamlets we see how base on his revenge he kills by mistake in an act of outrage the father of the Ophelia the girl that he loved the most. Finally we can see how the author is pointing out that revenge does not resolve anything and that at the end it only makes things worse.

On the other hand the ideal of religion also appears in the film. Since the movie is base in the middle ages. This Era is known as the dark ages because of the fall of the Roman Empire. Then all the knowledge that the roman had and the Greeks had was lost. Therefore as time went by Christianity started to rise and spread. And we can see these ideals appear in the movie. For instance when Hamlets dad ghost appears to him and tell him that he was poisoned and killed without confessing his sins. Therefore he went to hell. As a result we can that this ideal is part of the Christianity and this had an enormous effect on hamlet. Because on what the ghost told him, he starts his vengeance.

Yet there we appreciate how the love and madness mix together made a huge impact upon the characters life. For example the love that hamlet felt for his father and also his mother was so special. Yet when he sees that his dear mother marries his uncle and two moths pass from his dad’s death. He then starts to get devastated and betrayed by his mother.

Finally in my opinion I can say that even though the film hamlets points out certain ideals just like the ones that I just explain before. The film is basically bringing the messages that when someone seeks vengeance the person does not end up in a good way. Besides they can end up like Hamlets hurting other peoples and even ending up their lives. Also that we cannot be let driven by our feelings in order to seek vengeance. As a result there are other way to bring justice without hurting anyone.

Is there is a God

Base on my belief and my knowledge as an IFA priest, I can say that for me there is a mix. First there is one main God, a universal God, just like the Judaism, Islamism, and Christians, believe. Secondly, there are also other Gods which under that main one. An example of a secondary God for the religion Yoruba is Orunmila he is the God of wisdom and prophecies. He is the one who brought the system of divination called IFA to this world. Besides this method is used by the Judaism and Islamic as well. In my opinion it is really hard to write in a piece of paper if there is really a God or not? First, I feel that the proof we seek we have to get it from ourselves. Therefore based in my experiences I can say that I get my proof out from ceremony that I have performed as an IFA priest. For example, this system of divination is performed by an IFA priest. Basically what happened is that the priest performs a ceremony where he is able to know about the problems, or things affecting the individual that is being consulted. Besides there are also many more other secrets that which all religions have that simply they just are not going to tell you. Besides, the God in which I believe has the power to create, to build and of life. In addition I believe that the way my God will repay me is by being good with other and helping them. Somehow we can see that when we are in need there is someone that will give you a hand. As a result that is my proof that I got replayed. My theory of the afterlife is the following. Base on the studies that I have done I have come to a conclusion that the human being is composed of two things the soul and the spirit. The spirit is our own image. I base this theory on the law of Physics which states that matter cannot be compose nor destroyed. Then we all know that once we die our body starts to discompose as the time goes by and what is left is our image. The other part as I said before is the soul which base on the religious theory which state that God is a light then I believe that our soul is the same. Then as a result I state that the soul is what re incarnates and the spirit keeps on other dimensions. On the other hand, I do not think that there is such thing as heaven or hell. All is base on how the good and bad thing we do. For example I believe that if we do something bad we are going to pay, it can be in this life or in the other. Even thought how sorry we feel about we are going to pay for what we did. Besides by doing good thing, we may balance the bad thing we have done. Finally I do not think that we do not have the right to judge someone because at the end we have to realize that we are not perfect and that we learn from our mistakes.

Art

There is this movied called Saawariya which I found to be a single piece of art. The reason that I found this movie as a single piece is because it shows a lot of the hindi culture. They at the movie shows a ceremony called EID which is a hindu celebration. Also the each song and chorography is very synchronizing. Also each dance is telling the story of the song. There is on part where they show the face of the monalisa through the curtains. Finally the combination of the colors is amazing. However, none of my family or friends likes this movie. I believe the reason that they do not like it is because it does not have the typical ending that other movie had. People that have see this movies, at first thinks that is going to have a happy ending an then at the end the movies makes a sudden twist to a unexpected ending. As a result it makes the movie even more real and not a typical Bollywood movie.

Middle ages

Life in the middle Ages was hard. Only few had the privilege to study. Therefore they made an agreement with the church. This agreement was base that church will teach them as long as these people pay them. Over the time church established Universitas. In this Universitas they offered different degrees. The first degree that they offered was called Trivium. The Trivium was composed of the following topics Grammar, Logic and Rhetoric. This was also the Art section. There they study words and language. Therefore after passing the oral test they could get a Baccalourate certificate meaning that they could perform some work at the church. Secondly this Universitas offered another degree called Quadivium, which was composed of Arithmetic, Geometry, Astrology and Music. In this area they will study math and number. The Quadivium was part of the Science degree. In this time music was seem as part of the science curriculum because there they used to study and measure the music wave. Then once people pass the oral exam they got a degree in Magister. With this degree they could teach at the church as well. Finally there was the PH.D which can only be received in one of the following “Law, Medicine, Theology and Liberal Arts. Those who got a PH.D in law became lawyers, in medicine became Doctors, in theology became priest and in Liberal Arts they had the privilege to study books.

The student daily life in the Middle Ages was also hard. This student had to attend to class under critical circumstances. First the food and lodging were primitive, heating scarce, artificial lighting nonexistent, and income sporadic. Besides the daily schedule was rigorous, made more so by the shortage of books and writing materials. The student daily schedule basically start at Five AM, therefore they woke up at four AM. Then from Five to Six AM it was Arts lessons. At six AM they had Mass which basically means to pray then they had breakfast. From eight to ten AM they had lectures. Therefore from eleven to twelve AM they had disputations before the noon meal. As well from one to three PM they had repetitions of the morning lectures with tutors. More over from three to five PM they had cursory lectures or what they called generalized lectures on special topics. At six PM they had Supper. Finally from seven PM to Nine PM they had study and repetitions of the previous topics and at nine PM they would go to bed.

Idividuals Rights

I believe that religion does uphold individual’s right in certain ways. Yet I do not think that it should be mixed with government making individual rights. I believe that individual’s right should be base on laws that protects each individual’s rights as a human being. Moreover a good example is weather people should have the right to end his or her life? Certain religion like Christianity, IFA and many others has always lecture people that they do not have the right to end his or her life. That God is the only one that has the authority to do that. Yet in other religion like the Islamic they stated that by killing yourself for a purpose, God wills grand you with goods and women in heaven. Also in some religions or cultures they have this laws that prohibits women to be educate or to cover completely themselves just because someone have that believe. Finally we can see that we end up with a dilemma here. Therefore as a result based on my experience I could said that everyone has the right to do with their life wherever they desire as long they do not intercede with another person’s rights.

Doctrine of Ethos

The Doctrine of Ethos was ancient Greek philosophies which say that music or art affect humans behavior and way of thinking. Greek philosopher though that music plays an important role in peoples life. For example the Philosopher Aristotle said that certain music should be played for certain time of days. Plato on the other hand Believe it should be use for intellectual proposes.

I apply Ethos doctrine all the time. I found myself to be a music lover. Besides music have a big impact on my life. I have also different kind of music for certain occasions. There are times when I feel the need for speed and I would love to get into the I- 75 and run as fast as I can in my car. Then the kind of music that likes to play is trances music. For example the Adagio for strings by DJ Tiesto or Delirium Feat Sarah McLachlan Tiesto remixes. These kinds of songs I also like to hear them when I am at the gym it makes me hyper and I feel ready to go for it.

There are other moments when I feel kind of mad or I got these feeling of pushing. Then I like to hear rock songs. These songs are for example just like your or home by three days grace. This is the kind of rock that I like to hear. It also makes me fell to revel against something or someone.

Finally there are times when I am in love mod and like to hear song like Ricardo Montaner “tan Enamorado” song. In this song he talks about himself and a woman he loves riding this trains with that woman. I believe he compares it to the long journey that we take with the person we love the most. So it makes me feel like I am taking that train with my fiancĂ©.

Plato

As I grow up I have found myself applying philosophy in all my decisions. As well as searching for an answer to the question of who am I, or why I am here. In my research I have found that there was some philosopher that tried to answer those questions too. Philosophers like Socrates, Plato and Aristotle have come up with different theories. In my opinion there all have some accuracy, but the one that I relate the most is Plato.

Plato was born in Greece, Anthem and lived through 427 o 347 (B.C.E). He died at the age of eighty. Plato was also a student of Socrates. He was the one who wrote all the work and though of Socrates. Even though Plato was a student of Socrates he had a different philosophy. Plato also was a wrestler and it is been said that use to wrestle at the “isthmian” games.

Plato philosophy is called the “world of Forms”. This means that he believed that there exist two worlds. One that contains perfection and the other does not. In another words, Plato believe that the real form or perfection of something exist in another world or in our mind. Therefore in the real world we might find the close to perfection of that same object. He also believes that we could use math and philosophy together. Plato use to isolate himself for forty days in order to solve of find answer to a problem.

One of the good things that Plato did was in the creation of a School called “Academy”. There he used to teach math, Gym and philosophy. The main propose of the Academy was that people could gain Physical beauty and mind beauty. Plato also charge people for in order for them to assist to the Academy. Finally, I could said that I relate to Plato based on that we share some ideas.

First of all like Plato every time I have a problem I think over and over until I find a solution. It always has worked for me. There was this time when I had to install four florescent lamps in an office. Which they had to be embedding into the ceiling and the space was too short for they to fit. So I spent the whole day thinking for a solution which I found the next day. Besides I enjoy exercising and wrestling just as Plato did.

Aretha

January, 2011. ARETHA, a city made as it was. A city trapped in the sand of an old hourglass. A city in wish necessity was seen as the mother of invention. Ruins and traditions of past generation where found on every street, house, citizen, on every born child. Darkness and sadness of an oppressed society ruled by a dark hearted leader was also found. ARETHA was a town with no future at all.

Old concrete houses were the mold in ARETHA. Houses were built together and divided by an old half concrete wall. Everything can be heard from a block house. The houses had walls so tall that it made the roof impossible to reach. Each wall was filled with holes that looked like decorations. The floors tiles were so old that the drawing cannot longer be seen. Like a bird in a cage, ARETHA had these big walls that separate her from the world. The city of ARETHA spent hours and hours in absolute darkness. Not even the light from the light post could illuminate ARETHA’s dark nights. The roads had more holes that concrete. Besides the best transportation to be found was their own foots. Technology seems to miss ARETHA.

ARETHA looks like a paradise with no future for its angels. Over there people instead of moving further, they were going back in time. People were found sleeping on their porch criticizing each other lives. Children’s were also in the dark street playing all kinds of game you can imagine. Moreover ARETHA was also a city were morality was something of the past. It could be describe as a though that only could live in the mind of an aged person sitting in the corner of a street.

Boys and Girls that live there had to mature at an early age. Basically teenager had to act as adults. Manny time they became parent when they did not know such concept. Although school did not exist, people loved to learn and were looking for personal grow. Pride was their only weakness. On the other hand what makes ARETHA so important was the sovereignty between its resident. How they helped each other even though they were all struggling in the same issues. They were so united that they considered their neighbors as family members.

Finally, most of the sons and daughter of ARETHA share the same dream. A dream in which began in giving a better future for their newborn. But at the end of the day that dream seem to be as just an illusion. At the same time what makes ARETHA so mysterious was that although some of her sons could escape. They always will end up coming back to her.

The role of Philosophy in your daily Live?

Since the beginning of time, philosophy has played an important part through different society and cultures. All kind of philosophers have come up with different theories. Theories like “the world of form” by Plato and the theory of individualism by John Locke. Yet as I started to grow up I have found myself applying philosophy in most of my decisions, even though I did not know what philosophy was. Also I have found myself searching for an answer to the questions like, who I am, why I am here or how Shakespeare used to say to be or not to be. Therefore since I started to learn what philosophy was and the different philosopher that existed. I realize how important philosophy was to me.

To begin with it is impossible to say whether someone will be better off without philosophy. Because even though we do not realize it, we use philosophy in different aspect of our life. Besides, base on the Wikipedia website “Philosophy” is definite as the study of general and essential problems such as existence knowledge, values, reason and mind. Therefore we are always using philosophy in order to deal with the problems that we have to face every day. For example if we go back to the Baroque era. We might find philosopher like John Locke. He started to deal with social human interactions. He also saw that the type of government at that time was wrong. The king for instance had the absolute power. Therefore John Locke came up with his theory of Individual rights. This theory was based that every single person should have right and their right ended where the other person right started. In addition I do also believe that philosophy can help you live a better life. Because one way we define our live is by making the right decisions. Right decisions are decided with wisdom.

Consequently I believe there are many philosophical parameters or theories that we as human’s beings could use to determine our actions or thoughts. Like Plato and his theory was the “World of Forms”. In this theory Plato stated that there are two worlds. One that contains perfection and the other does not. In another words, Plato believe that the real form or perfection of something exist in another world or in our mind. Therefore in the real world we might find the close to perfection of that same object. Consequently I kind of agree with Plato since I think that there are two worlds or realms. The one where we live and the one where we are going once we died. Besides Plato also believe that one could use math and philosophy together in order to find a solution to our problems. He also used to isolate himself for days in order to solve of find solution to a problem. Therefore the way that I relate with Plato is that every time I have a problem I think over and over until I find a solution. It always has worked for me. There was this time when I had to install four florescent lamps in an office and they had to be embedding into the ceiling and the space was too short for they to fit. So I spent the whole day thinking for a solution which I found the next day. Another theory I also apply to my everyday life is the philosophy of Ethos. His philosophy stated that music or art affect humans’ behavior and way of thinking. Therefore I apply Ethos philosophy all the time. For example when I fell down I usually listen to the kind of music that makes me hipper and gets me ready. Besides I use different kind of music for certain occasions.

On the other hand I do try to live my live the best possible that I can. Besides I would like that other people live their life the way that I live mine. Yet I do not think it would make it a better place. The reason why is because it would be boring that everyone would live under the same aspect. In my opinion I think that the world as it is today is perfect that nothing has to be change. The reason that I use to support my theory is that the world in order to be world it has to holds or have everything in it. Things like good people to worst one. Besides we as humans being do not share the same taste.

Finally like the Socrates once said, I too say it now that Knowledge can set us free. Meaning that we should learn all that we can in our life time, because we do not know when we might have to use that knowledge. Besides when we learn things, no one can come with a false theory or story about something and the reason why is because we then base on our knowledge might know what is true or right. Therefore that is why I use philosophy in mi daily life.

Comparison and Contrast

All the way through the History, artists, singers and poems writers had excelled on their own categories. Different styles like romanticism, classicism, modernism and many other have classified them. Therefore I have come up with these two great song writers which I am going to compare. First we have Ricardo Montaner with a song called “so in love”. On the other hand we have Eros Ramazzotti with a song called “Now you”. Even though this both great singer have a different back grounds and styles they have the same themes.

Ricardo Montaner was born on September 8, 1957 in Valentin Alsina, Buenos Aires, Argentina. His real name is Hector Eduardo Reglero Montaner. He started to sing at the very young age, yet fame did not reach him until 1987, when he released his single “ME WHO LOVED YOU”. Meanwhile in the year 1988 Ricardo released his fourth album called “Ricardo Montaner 2” with the song “SO IN LOVE” which I found it to be a very excellent song. On the other hand, Eros Luciano Walter Ramazzotti mostly known as Eros Ramazzotti was born on October the 28, 1963 in Cinecitta, Rome, Italy. He also started his career at a very young age. Even though he is an Italian singer, he captures the Spanish community by translating and singing many of his song to the Spanish language. Furthermore there is one of his songs which I found very interesting is called “NOW YOU” which is also an excellent song as well. Therefore, I am going to analyze these two great singers and theirs song.

To begin with, if we analyze Ricardo Montaner song “SO IN LOVE”, we may notice that the tone which he uses to sing this song is a mix of love, excitement, confusion. For example we see that in the lyrics he uses values and words which are connected with images in order to show emotions. However it is easy to see that the song written in a free style. Yet I think that there is a mix between free and ballad style. The song is structured with seven to eight lines and has some rime between its lines, besides it tells a story as well. Furthermore we can see this song is basically a story of a person who is believes to be secretly in love with another, but he never tells her. At first If we take a look at the first two lines of the song we see that author start by saying “maybe you can ask, what is missing to this white night, to our life which has gone thru so much”. Here we may think that he is talking or asking these questions to someone. Then as the song develops the author stars to describe how great their love is or would be. For him their love has everything adventure, emotions, promises, happiness, love is perfect. He even states a Christian idealism, which is “heaven”. He does it by saying that “even up there I will still love you”. Basically he is stating that he believes that there is a heaven and even up there he will love her. Finally at the end of the song he says “Travel with you on the train” I believe he uses the word “train” to symbolize the long life ride, right besides the one he loves. Then he ends up saying “that is a dream had to believe”. There is when I realize that everything was just made up in his mind.

On the second hand there is Eros Ramazzotti with the song “NOW YOU”. I believe that the tone he used in this song is also a mix. First he starts expressing with sadness and pride, yet he adds some love emotions too. However this song is made in a free style. In order to analyze this song we start by looking at the first sentences where he begins by saying “I am form where the city ends, from a simple and popular neighborhood, where the air still clean”. Here we can see that he is trying to give an idea of morality and he does this by describing where he came from how he was raised. Even though that the world for him is mess up, he does not belong to it. Besides he explain how hard is to work in order to get something extra out of the normal. Yet in the middle were he states that “next to me Now you, to give a meaning to my life, to give all your moments, but even though we might not forget everything else that is happening. Here what he is trying to say is that even though there are so many problems in life, love will be always there. Finally he ends up by saying that no one is going to go back to the city where he lives because that city is stuck in the past, however that city is just a dream of him and the only real thing is the love that he is receiving from his lover.

In conclusion, the deep analysis of those songs makes me understand the different points of view that have the authors about the love. In addition, they have unique way to describe what means for them the love of his lives and the play that love roles on their feelings. In both songs, I can appreciate how the writers express their feeling and reactions about love using some writing techniques that embellish it, and they make the songs looks like a poem sings to the love.
